Hi everyone
I added this photo to my website. See what you guys think.
This is the image but if you click on the link below there is an option underneath the image on my site to view it in a much larger size. You’ll get a better idea of the image

Many Thanks
miki gParticipantHi Enda.
Personally I would crop out the people as I find them an immediate distraction. Otherwise I like the shot.EnzymeParticipantBallymanParticipantsinhobMemberrobmgraMemberyep, must agree with the others. the subject destroys the shot, and really doesnt serve a purpose or add to it in any way. you could also argue that, well he’s a part of the shot and deserves to be there so get over it!
JMac-2006ParticipantHi Enda
lovely light yet again. you must spend a lot of time waiting for the light around that area of the coast, or maybe you live close :)
the image is really nice without the people – if the person was in frame perhaps walking along the pier with the intentional slow shutter i think it could work a lot better – his position is the real problem for me i.e. edge of frame / arm cropped etc.
i know there is a story there and maybe that’s why you like it (i.e. what’s he doing jumping the wall, where is he going, coming from, will he fall etc etc but its more questions than answers)

EnzymeParticipantHi Guys.
Thanks for the comments. I actually have a version of the image without the 2 people in it but I felt their movement added a dynamic to the shot. I didn’t want to take just another shot of Dun laoghaire Pier.
As I was taking the shots the 2 guys came walking along the wall. I pretended I had finished shooting so they would not get down behind me. Once they came into view and jumbped I clicked the cable release.
And Jason. You caught me out. Ya I live beside Dun Laoghaire Dart Station. I could tell you how I live miles away and walk on my hands and knees in the middle of the night to get there in the hope of some good light. It just involves looking out the window to the pier and going, will I bother getting up. HaCoveyParticipant
