Quick question, my contract form has a portion the bride and groom need to fill out with their details. What do you replace BRIDE and GROOM with for a same sex ceremony? This is my first one!
have found that people don’t care and will fill in details anyway, usually with some really bad jokes as to who the bride is, you could try partner 1 and 2 or partner 1 and 2. most folk won’t care so long as they have the photo’s to remember their day or if you know couple really really really well (as in childhood best mate), do as I and all other guests did for a friend and call them unholy alliance member 1 and 2.
another and probably better idea is to find out the wording the officiant will use and follow suit. either way treat it as if it was any other wedding and you can’t go wrong, also apologies for repeating myself in first post, I really gotta stop visiting this site with alcohol taken.
On a related topic, has anyone gotten to grips yet with the possible implications on ‘traditional’ bridal / wedding posing styles and intreratations? I have my set of rules that I try to be aware of (and deliberately break sometimes) about which side the ride goes on and who should be in front etc, just wondering if anyone has seen any work or guidence on a similar aproach to same sex ceremonies?
