Another hello from Donegal

    Hi to you all,

I best start who I am well my name is Tony Mc Guire. I have a thing about photography off and on when I was on holdays in galway (at my aunts). I was in argos and had spodded the Nikon D3000 (my firsst dSLR cramra) reduced to about €370 and I knew it was a bargain :D not to through away, also the cramra was on display which why the price was droped so much I was told and the only one they had.

I have been reading this forum for the past few days and have a few question on bugging me.

The first thing bugging me is when I got home to me own house I was looking on the net and found some reviews that said the D3000 was the worst camra the Nikon ever made. :( Has anyone here used the D3000 camra and what did you think of it.

    Tony,

First off welcome to PI. You’ll also find a good few great Donegal folk on the site here also :)

As for your camera, don’t mind what you’ve heard, there are no bad Nikon cameras, likewise with lots of other
brands. You’ll discover through the site here and using your gear that the most important piece of equipment is
yourself !. The D3000 will only take a photo of what you saw :D. OK, you probably knew that anyhow :).

In terms of buying equipment, lenses are far more important than camera bodies to be honest. Thats where
    the clever money is spent.

Anyhow, enjoy the site, don’t be shy and get stuck in. We’re here to help whenever you might need it.

    Take care
