I think this is very good.
Nicely framed and you captured quite an expression.Maybe if he was looking into your lens it would have been even better.
Maybe not ……I’d be happy if it were mine.

Hey John,
Thanks for your kind comments… To be honest, I have a few shots where he is looking directly at the lens, however, I tend to prefer the shots where the subject is looking away from the lens for some reason. Perhaps the expression appears more authentic in that way?

Hi A, You have this shot spot on. I cant fault it, great candid, love the coluring , perfect exposure, good sharpness around the childs eyes, nice reflection within the eyes themselves and classic expression. Like the close crop also. Well done!

It’s shots like these that bring photography back to simplicity as sometimes we get too wrapped up in staged portraits or getting the perfect landscape shot etc etc
