Still braving the midgies RAS :) I think these must be the only proper trees in
    the Sally Gap!

Something strange with the colour of the pathway, looks a bit pale but it could be
my screen (titchy 10″) I bet these would look good in the autumn when they are
    just turning gold.

Ras, I like this shot, good colours, lovely sky. I have one thought about the composition. If you had moved a little to the left then the pathway would be more in the shot pointing to the top right hand corner and therefore drawing you more into the image. It is only a minor point as it is a lovely image.

Thanks guys and yes Sb still braving the midges, think I am build up an immunity but I do return home looking like a spotty teenager :-).

The coloring is experimental. I have been playing around with overlaying a B&W version of my images with an opacity of between 10 –> 30%. It gives an interesting tone to some images.

Good point AC on the composition / positioning

That’s an interesting thought. I would have thought that overlaying a mono layer (does overlay mean blend?) would amount to a bit of desaturation, but looking at your posted image, that wouldn’t appear to be the case. Colours look very good, in particular the sedges in the foreground.

Looks Pretty good, colours are fine but wud agree that the green of the pathway is a funny green. The sky has alot of blown highlights which is hard to work with, but which would lose marks if you were to enter into a competition. Nice image and fair play for braving them little feckers !
