CianMcLiamParticipant
A selection of pics from a recent shoot with a couple who wanted some nice relaxed shots of them in various locations around Dublin that were special to them.
First time I shot a couple just for some portraits and not for a special occasion so getting good expressions etc. was a concern and also first time shoot around a city centre but was an absolute blast :)
All shot with either the Nikon 24-70 2.8 or 70-200 VRI, natural light, no modifiers, with the D700. Details are in the EXIF.
Comments/critique very welcome!

johnnymcParticipantAbsolutely cracking set of images. Great work, well captured and lovely processing.
AndinaParticipantAmazingly beautiful shots! Each and every one carries an obvious story. Having the couple pick spots that were special to them probably aided with the very relaxed and loving expressions. I would love to have these as a keep sake. Cant pick a favorite as I love them all.

CianMcLiamParticipantThanks johnnymc and Andina for the comments! The couple were really relaxed which helped enormously. They were happy with the pics too, the range of locations in the city was fantastic, much more variety than I’m used to.
brendancullenParticipantSodafarlMemberKen,
I’m sure the couple were pleased as you said. Absolutely brilliant set of pictures as good as any I have seen on this forum.Soda
tommykelsoMemberRASMITH32MemberLove this set, great DOF , sharpness and all are so well exposed. do you have the shot details . Love the composition in all of them, especially num 4! You brought the message in the advertisement in to the picture really well. Well done
sirvadMemberwesleylawMemberI think its obvious from the abbey theatre shot that everyone including you had a good time. They are all really good but the abbey theatre one and the pub shot (for the light) are my favourites. They should be really happy with these.
CianMcLiamParticipantCheers for all the comments :) Will post some more from this session later. RAS, the info is all in the exif (if you don’t have it already, iexif from Opanda http://www.opanda.com/en/iexif/” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false; is free and shows all the info with a right click if the exif hasn’t been already stripped out).
JMac-2006ParticipantHi Cian
Agree with all the positive comments – love the shallow Dof and the lighting and how you composed with the extra little details as in #4 “Our destiny awaits” an exceptionally nice touch
Well doe – i am sure they are over the moon
Jason
RASMITH32MemberIts probably just me but I also see another messge in the “Dart Family” advertisement in #4 and the combination of the two advertisements really works :-). Most likely unintentional (or maybe not?) but it works for me< i think its great :-), was it intentional?
richiebMemberVery nice series. Very natural looking. Nice black and white treatment also.
Good job.
5faytheParticipantHi Ken,
A really fab collection of photographs.
The couple made very good natural models and obviosly knew what they wanted.
That said you you have showed great skill to produce the final product.Very well done.
