Kye, I like your concept of the flat sand compared to the the broken down portion and is a subject worth exploring further. However in this instance there are some faults which in my opinion detract from your image. 1. Only the central area appears to be in focus. I feel that the whole picture should be sharp. 2. The dividing line between the different sands is too vertical thus making the subject matter too static which I assume it is not. If you take your photo and have that line as a diagonal I think that it would create a sense of movement to the picture and your picture would alter from top to bottom.
But as I said I think your subject is a good one and well worth exploring.

    Cheers

    Vincent,

Thanks for the feedback, nice and constructive and I have taken all on board and will make sure to get out and have another stab at it with your advice. I thought the central focus was good at first but looking again, my eye is immeadiately drawn to that which renders the rest of the image a bit redundant.

    Thanks Again

I like the detail and the difference in the textures of the sand. Looking forward to seeing some more of these :)
