Hi everyone,
Quick intro… bought a second hand Nikon D50 2 weeks ago from a friend and after last weekend at Vernon Mount taking snaps have decided this is very addictive stuff ! Now considering a Canon 7D with a nice zoom lens hehe…
Anyone on here into motocross photography that could give me some tips please ? Looking forward to having a good look around the site.

Welcome Richie, have a look in the sports section I’m sure there’s a few motocross fans hiding in there. Your best bet is to post up a few shots and I’m sure they will come out of the cobwebs. The canon 7D would be a great buy, a canon 100 to 400mm lens would be ideal for motocross and there’s a few second hand models in the for sale section.

You have meantion Vernon Mount and Canon in same post!!! Two of my favourite things!!
Motor Sport is very addictive to photograph as its so quick and you just keep snapping away! A thing you could look up when photographing moving things is Panning. It can be hard to achieve at start but practise makes perfect!!Good luck with your future buy
