I got my first dslr last week, so this was my first time shooting at a gig with it. The pics came out a bit noisy, I think I was using too low a f number. As for processing on these I corrected the wb and resized them, I also converted them to B&W. I’ll put the colour versions up later. All comments welcome.

Very nice set there, great atmosphere and sense of intimacy.

I don’t find them too noisy, but I do think they’d look soooo much better if the blacks were pushed a bit. A tweak in levels would really help.
Can I asked how you converted to b&w?

Great set. Number 2 is my favorite great lighting and atmosphere.

Thanks Sinead,I just used the flickr b&w effect to convert. I might re-edit them and see if I can improve on them.

Ah, I’ve never used that myself, but I think it might be better to have more control of the conversion yourself, in Photoshop, or if you don’t have PS, GIMP, which is A LOT like PS, but FREE! just do a search online, for free gimp download. LightRoom is also very good, with tons of presets, but they’ll usually need a spot of tweaking to get them just right.

Might be something of interest here also black-and-white-conversions-t40251.html
