Recommend a DSLR for Wedding/Studio Photography

  Hi guys,

  Im new to this forum & just looking for some advice on a Canon camera body to purchase for shooting mainly weddings, along with eventually studio work. Ive been working in the industry for a few years, but have been mainly borrowing my bosses equipment when needs be. We use Nikon at work but I want to go Canon so I wouldnt be as well informed about their products!! But now Ive been asked to shoot a couple of weddings myself & am looking to invest. I have an idea of the types of lenses Im after, but funds are tight & would appreciate any advice on the cheapest type of Canon body that ye reckon I could get away with!!!
  Any advice on bodys (or even lenses) would be much appreciated!!

  I’m aiming for the wedding market myself.
  Saving hard for:
  5Dmk2,
  24-70mm f2.8
  70-200mm f2.8
  17-40mm f4
  IOP

  550D
  Sigma 10-20
  Canon 17-35 f/4
  Canon 50mm f/1.8

  Then save up some extra money for:
  24-70 f/2.8
  70-200 f/2.8 IS
  (preferably with a 5D Mk II)
