Hi Paul.
I love the movement of the water in this. It really brings the shot to life. Well doneSeaviewParticipantReally nice shot Paul, two of the hook in one night and both completely different :D . I agree with Miki, the movement of the water really makes the shot. Great composition also and I like the way you included the two people down on the cliffs.

It’s not easy to come up with with a photograph of Hook Lighthouse that
I don’t think “I’ve seen that before” when I view it.
This definitely didn’t evoke that response. This is a fine image that says the photographer put a bit of thought, effort
and no small amount of skill into producing an interesting photograph. The first thing I noticed is the contrast between the upper and lower halves
of the frame.
The upper half looks calm and quite peaceful while the lower half shows how
powerful the sea can be.The sky is really nice and there’s a lovely colour in the foreground water.
Well composed too.
I’d be extremely happy if I had produced this.
Well done.
John.
flynnyParticipantThanks for the replies folks,
Appreciate any feedback ,
John I agree, it isn’t always easy to get a shot of places like this that haven’t been done before,
I probably shot about 300 shots all told the other night,
and for one reason or the other quite a few of them got sin binned,
It was blowing a gale down there on Thursday,
Ideal conditions for this kind of shot,
Thanks again, wesleylawMemberGreen glensParticipantGreat angle Paul, brilliant movement! You must have been in quite a perilous position
to take this well done ……John!shutterbugParticipantAll of the above Paul, lovely shot, really like the sky! I love Hook lighthouse, it
gives the feeling of a dinky little lighthouse, and is perfectly placed on the rocks
and headland, it gives plenty of options I think you can virtually take a shot of
it all the way round, well almost :)flynnyParticipantGreen glens wrote:

It was literally blowing a gale, so I just kept the camera covered, and kept a little bit away from the edges,Jenny and Wes,
Thanks for the comments,
It really is a fun place to go with a cam,As you say jenny, there are umteen different angles to choose from,
Thanks again,rohan reillyMember
