Im looking to try and be able to start doing some auto photography. I cam across these pictures i guy i know in Australia took of his car, the way he uses lighting to illuminate the car is amazing i think! How would one go about getting this type of effect? what type of lighting/flashes would be needed?
could deconstruct the lighting set up for you but you’ll have far more fun learning how to do it yourself, the best place to start is here http://www.strobist.blogspot.com/” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false; once you’ve spent a bit of time here you’ll want to visit http://strobox.com/” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false; and finally for some inspiration with portraiture work check out this guy, I personally think his work is beautiful but he seems to have polarized opinions on the web due to his cocky nature but he’s young and talented so he’s allowed to be cocky (I think) http://www.joeyl.com/blog/” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
I also have a pdf document made by a guy called Bernie Ledesma that is somewhere on the web to download for free in which he gives his well informed 2 cents, if you can’t find it pm me your email address and I can send it to you .
…e.g. the reflections in the side windows and the light wash/soft shadows on the road tell you a lot of the story already….(but I’m with Dermot on this :) )
