Hi all,
Very much a beginner and experimenting with shots and processing, would love any c&c you may have. Thank you! Taken on Sunday at the Grand Canal, Dublin.

These are beautiful. Composition and processing look great, you handled shooting into the sun well.
It’s hard to find something constructive to say.
The highlight are blown in 1 & 3. I think that make for a nice effect here, but it is something to be careful about because if you wish to print they may not come out so well, particularly #3.
Very nice set of shots, I really like the warm tones, dont know whether they are added or
natural but suits the shots, the duck is lovely and sharp with great colour again. Well done!
I particularly like the 3rd and love the composition. As has been said, shooting into the sun can be a mare and you did well….. watch out for approaching passers by – if you want them in the shot, wait for them… if not wait for them to pass.
Thank a million everyone for your replies, really appreciate it. Regarding blown highlights, yes – in the 3rd shot I was shooting into the sun and I tried to balance it to make the best of the effect using the tree. In the first shot – the blown highlights – how would you avoid this? It wasn’t an incredibly bright day and it was about 4pm so not the brightest time of the day either this time of the year. Apologies for ingnorance!
Camera is after acting up and is now away getting an estimate for being fixed. Gutted :(
