Free image processing software

  Lets start a list of free image processing software.
  Here are few I know of:

  • GIMP, to edit images
  • XnView, to organize images
  • IrfanView, to view images
  • PhotoME, to edit Exif info
  • BatchPurifier LITE, to remove XMP/IPTC/EXIF

  Picasa, basic editing software available from Google
  Fotosketcher, a means of tranforming photographs into “works of art” ie watercolour, pencil sketches etc.

  RawTherapee – for raw processing.
  And my current favourite Faststone Image Viewer – for quick edits to photos, very handy, even
  a version that runs off a USB stick.

  I’m a Linux user so I mostly work with RawTherapee and GIMP.

  digiKam is also pretty good.

  me too, so:

  Geequie – as RAW browser
  UFRaw – for RAW editing
