Hello,
My studio lighting was the only photography equipment I sold before my move here from the States a few months back. Now I am thinking of replacing the lights and was wondering if anyone had experience with “continuous lighting” in the studio and what were you thoughts? Saw some kits on the internet thought it might be interesting. Or is flash still the way to go?
Additionally where does someone (who still has to work for a living) go to purchase studio lighting?
Thanks in advance for your replies.
Brian
Hi Brian,
My recommendation would be to only use Continuous lighting if you want the option of shooting video, otherwise Flash heads with modeling lights are still the best option.
We sell both types of lighting. his kit: ://www.barkerphotographic.ie/products.php?id=1264 is our most popular Continuous light set. On the flash side we supply Elinchrom equipment, with kits from €549 to €679 (see: http://www.barkerphotographic.ie/search.php?searchname=d-lite+kit” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;) for “ProSumer” level equipment. The Pro kits start at €999 for a two head kit (see: http://www.barkerphotographic.ie/products.php?id=110″ onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;) . We can also supply even cheaper lighting kits, but they are not in the same league as the Elinchrom. Drop me a line if you would like to discuss.
