Advice on new lense purchase

hi all,
i’d like to buy a new 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 Mk11 Oly lense, but I have no experience of dealers here having only used Calumet up to now.
i would be tempted to buy second hand if i could be sure that any after-sales issues weren’t a nightmareany advice welcome
