Mill Bar Session

Took this at a pub session at the weekend, not a great deal of light,iso 4000. Minor adjustments in ps to let a bit more light in. I didnt crop or clone, how do people feel about this? I guess i like the context even if its a bit cluttered n not clean-cut.
i like this shot. but would crop from right a bit. great expressions, they are really into the music.
i think it would look n ice in mono.

Thanks Sean, will get around to crop and mono at some stage. It was a kind of round robin session, the lady in centre was singingduring this shot,just before her another lady was playing Bach on keyboards and other trad musicians and singers took turns also. Not sure how much the barman is into it though.
seanI think its a super shot, its really captured a moment, which is nice. The expressions are great, there is a sense of harmony (no pun intended) created by the way the expressions of the people are sympathetic to that moment. Furthermore, there is a lot in this shot, an aspect I like in photos, the 3 protagonists, then the barman and then the various aspects of the pub such as the the peanuts and so on. Also, the face on the phot at the top is nearly a character in the photo in its own right.
My only quibbles would be
– I strongly think it should be cropped in from the right, as far as the RHS of the black and white picture frame.
– In a way, there’s a pity there’s no musical instrument in it, since without knowing the setting, perhaps it could be just three people in a bar.Am sure it would work well in mono, but I’d guess its better in colour.
Agree with the above and I’d crop the elbow on the left and some of the space above the bar. The point of interest is the three people singing/listening and the lack of interest from the barman. Great shot though and looks good for such high ISO
