moonlight colours

  10pm under near full moon with a small bit of light painting (son’s thomas tank engine 10watt torch)..
  Rock of Dunmaise with town backlights..iso 400 to get the colours.
  Canon 400d ,
  70sec,f9
  All C&C welcome ( I hope to get more pics another night so ideas welcome pls).

  That is very well done.
  Nicely composed with the tree showing through the opening.

  Is the glow on the horizon the lights of a town?

  Thanks folks, that is the town(portlaoise) in backround..and i think thats Dracula rising on right – not the first time a Ghostly figure turned up in a pic of mine recently – i must look back to Autumn to find it..

  Joe,

  We’ve all shot the church thru the walls from the Rock of D.

  Have you thought of trying that at night? Maybe a flash of car lights to illuminate the church?

  That would take helpers. Are we the only two in Portlaoise?

  I did and have done Ted, theres a street light outside church which blows it out a bit. I have a night landscape of it but i’d like to better it ..hopefully the next time the weather is kind i’ll get it right.
