    Toook this at the weekend in currachase national park co Limerick wasnt sure weather to post in the wildlife section or landscape section eventually as you can see I settled on here. at the end of the day the ducks are only being used as foreground interest in a landscape shot :D ….

    Lovely lighting in the ducks wings. It really makes them stand out from the background.

    its a lovely shot but am not sure about the level of contrast between the colour of the ducks and the white/grey of the background……you’ll probably tell me thats they way it came out; to me it looks like too sharp a contrast….

    Thanks for the comments guys Liam ref your comments on the sharpness/contrast between the ducks and the backround well that is the way they came out any processing done on the image was global there was no selective sharpenning or selective contrast on the image and the amount processing on the image was restricted to cloning out a bench some levels and unsharp mask. I have included an unprocessed version below cheers again for your comments.

    John, Beautiful Image, colours are great as is the contrast and sharpening. Can i ask was this hand held and what lens and settings u used? tis a cracker of a shot so well done you !

    Thanks sirvad yup it was handheld the lens was a Canon 70-200 F4L 1/2000sec F4 iso500
