Yeah I go here a lot I know…. I’m finished with it now… honestly… never going back….. :?
Heres a final few from last Saturday morning… the first being one of my favorite photos for quite some time. Also tested the Lee Big Stopper… Such a joy to use compared to the B&W 10 stop.. Anyway enjoy….

keveb08ParticipantDaveMurdochParticipantExcellent stuff 8)
Love the movement in the first..
The rock in the third is really interesting and a great colour 8)
The composition in both is spot on!!The second shot is lacking something…maybe a better sky would`ve helped??
sndipoMemberrichiehatchMemberThanks people…! I agree the 1st is by far my fav… I have others very similar too in landscape and portrait orientation. Not sure why I threw that second one up. It looks really good on a big 27inch screen and in print but doesn’t look much when small.
Thanks again for the comments

np72ParticipantI like the 3 shots, I think the first is the strongest of them, though I think the third looks very atmospheric along the pier, especially with the top of the steps showing. I think the water running off the rocks in the second one is the strongest part of it, or at least looks the strongest part of it on my screen anyway.
jodal1975Participant3 lovely shots! the 1st definitely being my favourite , very dramatic with the sense of movement in the water . im new to photography but dying to get hold of the big stopper!!! one thing i would say is , there is a definite blue/cold tint showing up with the filter .i presume that could be warmed up easily enough. great pics though!
richiehatchMemberThanks for the comments. On the big stopper there is definitely a bit of a cold tint from it but its nothing that cant be removed in processing. Its better than the B+W warm tint that could be a bit of a pain to remove…! The blue tone in these is intentional and was chosen during the raw processing. I pretty much always shoot with a daylight white balance when shooting landscape or else choose a kelvin value pretty close to that during processing..!!

PitmaticMemberBrian_CParticipantMardai24ParticipantAgree 100%. No. 1 is the winner for me, followed in very close 2nd place no. 3. Gorgeous shots.
BMParticipantYes, these are all very powerful. Interested to understand what you mean regarding the B&W 10 compared to the Lee …
richiehatchMemberThanks people…. BM…. I found with the B+W that there was always an odd warm cast that was quiet tricky to remove in processing. Also because it was screw in it was a nightmare to use with graduated ND’s. I used it maybe 3 times and decide it wasnt for me. Then there was the 1 year wait on the big stopper…! Now I’m sorta gone off the reeeaaaalllllyyyyy long exposed wooly water shots. Hahaha
Thanks
Richie
sirvadMemberwell done on 2 great images and 1 good one :) the foreground in the second lets it down in my opinion. But you can tell me where to put my opinion :). Well Done Richie !
richiehatchMemberThanks Sirvad.. I have to say I completely agree with you on the second… maybe a letterbox style crop would suit it…!
Thanks again
