Hi all.
I was out and about all day with my camera yesterday and took these shots around Cork city last night. As always C&C welcomed as I am so trying to learn.
Thanks, and hope you like something in there,
Kev.

Steve
SandraMcPhotographyMembermaybe if you had taken the first from one a different angle it might look better also try this in black and white. :)
there’s something about the second one i love. i cant put my finger on it
and the third one i love how you made the bus blur its fantastic.well done
RASMITH32MemberNumber 3 is good, pity about the traffic light. Next time try select the tungsten white balance setting. Helps to eliminate that orange glow you get from the surrounding lights and can serve to really enhance light trails such as you have captured on the bus. In relation to number 2 I expect you were trying to get a long esposure effect on the water??, if so you would need an ND filter to achieve as the background is so bright, alternatively you could shoot a couple of exposures and overlay etc in PShop. In relation to composition try exclude distracting features such as lamposts/traffic lights etc.
The quality of these shots is not great but your head is in the righ place, and I can see the shots you wanted to get. have a go at it again. Also sometimes its easier to get city night shots Just before dark, also its easier to expose for especially when there is a lot of background lighting
keveb08ParticipantHey RAS, thanks for stopping by to have a look and leaving some comments. I will try and do what you suggested.
I went back to try number 2 again and came up with this. I think it is better, hopefully you do, I only have a standard kit so maybe I will look into getting some filters soon.
