My Poor Old Knees

Dont bout you guys but when I am out shooting landscape I like to get down low as my style puts a heavy emphasis on forground interest. But as I push on I find my knees giving out to me especially when on the coast or the burren and you are looking to kneel on bare rock. while walking around lidl yesterday what did I spot only knee pads the type a tiler would use and for the great price of 6 99 I tried them on in the shop and knelt down and they worked a treat. So now those of us with dodgy pins make yer way to lidl.

Are they waterproof knee pads? I find that my knees always get wet & that can’t be good for them.

Know how you feel John it’s a bugger getting old :D

I have a pair of trousers for my work ”tuff stuff” cost around €20
and they have a section that you can slide in knee pads when needed
the knee pads them self are quite neat and fit into the camera bag without using much space

…and then there’s this little camping stool that I keep in the back of my car. :-)

have a pair, and they are a life saver or more to the point…a knee saver

Phew glad to hear a ground swell of support from the creaky knee brigade here. I taught I was the only one seazing up. To miki yes the have a hard plastic shell on the front so would be reasonably waterproof. The best part of the whole thing was I had my nine year old son with me and it was bad enough me trying on the knee pads in the shop but when I got down no my kness and started flexing and lunging to check dexterity etc he wished the ground would open up and swallow him. Its not easy being a cool 9 year old when your Dad keeps acting like a “loser” (his words not mine) lol…..
