DODParticipant
At the moment I store my photos on my computer and a 1gb datatraveler. Im thinking of buying an externnal harddrive for storing them and I have looked them up on amazon. I am wondering can anyone give me some advice on make and size or is it a good way of storing photos. All advice welcom thanks.
phillipMemberi back up mine on a external hard drive 1tb, but also on dvd which would hold finished photos.
you can also check for online backup but can be costly.bigalguitarpickerParticipantI’ve got photos on my PC, I’ve got them on my laptop, I’ve got them on an external Hard Drive, I’ve got ’em on a pen drive and I’ve got a heap of ’em on Flickr. I haven’t a feckin’ clue where anything is!!
I’m working towards an Imaging qualification with hand-in scheduled for mid-May and I have so many back-up locations (just in case) that I don’t really know any more where the most recent stuff is stashed. I have back ups of back ups, and now I don’t know what the feck to do with new work. With files in four locations I’ve lost track of where the new stuff is. I hope I’ve now got all relevant imagery stashed in my laptop and that’s where it’s all going in future.BMParticipantbigalguitarpicker wrote:

SeaviewParticipantI was in Easons today and there external hard drives are all half price. A Seagate Expansion 1 TB for 69 euro, I think.
Dave.
Dermot1Participanttake a look at setting up a raid hard drive system or shoot film and store your negatives in a nice little box.
