Salthill is just on the other side of Galway if you are looking for a beach, in the distance you can see what i believe is Twain Island (im not from Galway ive just been up and down a few times)
Id highly recommend photographing the fields between Gort (South of Oranmore) along the road N18, the stone walls defiantly a site to see in the evening if you feel like field hopping it, take a mosey around that area anyway, very beautiful at the right time of day.
Other then that, Galway city itself is filled with stone streets and small allys if you felt up to some street work around shop street. The pubs are full of your typical irish auld fella drinking a pint and trad music is always on somewhere if you felt like doing a bit of social stuff.
Lough Corrib is just north aswell, ive never been to it but the tail end of it seems roughly in driving distance, maybe a bit too far out of your way if you have limited time but defiantly look up google maps for a nice location to go directly to.
Since you’re in Oranmore: try Ardfry house and the Marine Institute; further down the road (turn off in Kilcolgan) is Tyrone House. You could also make your way to Kinvarra (town and castle) by the sea…. plenty of coastal seascapes in all those locations.
