  any thoughts on how i could improve this shot i took in portrane beach

  i like the duo tone and the composition is good
  but the obvious thing that jumps out at me is the horizon, it aint straight.

  It’s a nice colour but really there’s not much in the composition to recommend it.

  Suggestions:

  try a lower perspective – maybe to allow teh rule of thirds
  straighten teh horizon
  sharpen teh image a bit
  use an ND graduated filter to help with teh extreme light/haze at the top

  As concerns this image, visit Peter Cox web site – he has some great tutorials – look for teh one on improving teh shot at a pier where the light was too harsh.
