A good photo op, however I think first of all, the excessive whites in the ground and sky largely take away from the abundance of sheep, and also I’d say this shot would be a perfect candidate for an ultra-wide angle given the leading line of sheep from foreground to middle ground :-)
RASMITH32MemberOverprocessed for me BUT that said I do like the image/composition. Lots to look at . I’d go at this again in relation to processing as it looks like it could be a really good image with a little less on the processing . I’d also crop 1/2 thesky to bring your eye down to the focal point , the sheep.
It reminds me of something but I can quite put my finger on it
texMemberWhile the composition is very good the entire picture lacks sharpness and definition.
PiotrWMemberI have to defend my picture  :)
tex its not about sharpness , its call depth of field :) , i shot this with 50mm prime lens f/3.5 and i used that F to blure the background and bring some dimension in to the picture.
RASMITH32 could you explain more about overprocessing on this image??
thalpin what you mean “excessive whites in the ground and sky” i dont see anything like that, on my screen everything looks fine to me 8)
And i know it’s nice to have wide angle lens but the widest i have at the moment is 50mm prime lens, and belive me ultra-wide angle lens wouldn’t help much here coz of the house on right and wooden pile on the left. Thanks for comments
texMembersnaphappyMemberHave to say I have to agree with the above critiques on the image I feel it does look a little pushed or over cooked.
I taught that the point of posting images on this forum is to have your IMAGE critiqued not your title spelling or grammar and I have to say that I think the above comment from “Tex” is a petulant retort because the original poster didn’t agree with his critique. I fail to see how the above comment is constructive or helpful if I was to use any word to describe it I would describe it as bitchy…..texMemberJohn I think you missed the joke , PiotrW said ‘it’s called depth of field’ and my reply was a play on those words. I don’t think I called into question his spelling as my own is not that great anyway. I’ve no problem with people dismissing my comments, they are giving freely and can be accepted or not. However I did run a spell check before I posted this.
