  Folks, I need a little bit of help. I have a version of PS elements and for some unknown reason I CANNOT work out how to change the background on a photo. I have a side profile headshot portrait with a fairly busy background. I want to cut the head and sholders out and put them on a black or steel grey background. I’ve tried a number of ways but nothings working.

  A learner with PS, so if anyone could point me to a place where I could pick up hints on how to do this, I’d very much appreciate it.
