copyright question

  hi lads
  i am just wondering about copyright
  i have alot of my shots on my facebook page and people have copied them, now i know there friends so im not gonna go chasing them
  but id like to be able to have my name and the copyright logo on the picture just so ppl know its mine.

  do i need a licence for this or can i jus put ‘ (c)JD Photography 2011’ on all my pictures?

  You don’t need a license to assert your copyright, it is a general thing.
  And try to find the © sign, it’s there somewhere, to make it look good :) .

  you loose your rights when using facebook, effectively facebook owns your photos once posted there,

  oh i didnt know that now
  what other sites apart from flikr and the likes are there to post all my images
  all the sites i look at limit me to a certain few pictures

  That’s very inaccurate. Maybe you should actually read their full terms and conditions.

  You still own the copyright on all your images, even those posted on facebook, but you do grant them a license, under their terms and conditions.
