Add watermark in Elements?

    Hi,

    I was wondering if it is possible to add a watermark in elements 7? I have never watermarked my photos even though they are showing on my website. Can anyone let me know if this can be done in elements or what alternatives there are?

    Many thanks!

    You should be able by creating a new layer. See attached link: http://www.ehow.com/how_5693340_create-transparent-copyright-photography.html” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;

    Thanks Miki, I followed the instructions but I really think it makes the photo look so much worse.Not sure if I’ll go ahead with it …

    I think the opacity of the layer would need to be set very low as to not effect the photo quality. I dont use it myself & just put the copyright details into the camera settings & in the file properties, but this can possibly be changed by someone else if they wanted to. :roll:

    Try downloading FastStone Photo Resizer (free) & you will be able with that to add a watermark to your images.
    good luck,

    Thanks all for the advise. Will try Faststone. I played around with the opacity but it still does not look good …

    Another vote for Faststone. It’s not a photoshop but its a super application
    and the portable version is really handy [runs off a usb stick or similar].

    The watermark can be uploaded from a file or included in the Batch Conversion Process.
    [Tools-Batch Convert Images-Advanced Options]
    Hope this helps.
