Ok
I am thinking very seriously about getting a graphics tablet and from what i have read wacom is the job etc but which one to get and is size important are the bigger sizes better for the money and capability
I dont want to get the wrong size or buy a brand that will just break after a short while and i get into the whole having to buy twice disaster
Any thoughts :)

climberhuntParticipantWacom Bamboo are the business to start, PC world have them for €79. I would not see the need for a large model to start out. And they come in at about €250-300.
Rgds,
Dave.PitmaticMemberThanks what ae the advantages of the larger models? if any?
apart from pen pressure can the tablet sense pen rotation of is that a pricey feature?
stcstcMemberi use an A5wide wacom. dont use a mouse,and love it
I have tried both couple of small tablets and couple of the cheap ones too. and none of them were great. its worth investing in a decent sized wacom
talk to paddy barker, he sells them
BarkerPhotographicParticipantThe Wacom Intuos 4 Medium is the best option for most people. At present there are two nice offers, One is the medium tablet and a full Photoshop CS5. The second is a bundle with Adobe Lightroom 3 and is available with either the Wired or Wireless tablet. Check them out here: http://www.barkerphotographic.ie/search.php?searchname=wacom+medium” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
yorizzMemberTablets are great. I have one and the mouse is gathering dust somewhere in a cupboard. The size of the tablet matters. Not the bigger, the better, but it has all to do with your ‘eye-hand-coordination’. Think of when you draw, are you happier with a fine pen, drawing really fine intricate details, moving only your fingers or are you happier with cruder material and move more from your wrist or even you elbow? If you’re more of the ‘fine’ kind a small tablet would be good for you, if you’re more of the ‘grand gesture’ go for a larger one. Maybe you should try one somewhere before you buy?
PitmaticMemberI think yorizz has hit the nail on the head there I didnt think about the tablet size suiting your style I need to find somewere to try them out! darn it!
