Taken at the Aer Lingus 75th Birthday Party in Dublin Airport on Saturday.
The first plane used by Aer Lingus in 1936 [The Iolar] and the latest
addition to the Aer Lingus fleet an Airbus A320 painted in a colour
scheme from the 1950s/60s. C&C welcome and appreciated.
    Martin.

p.s….I used a filter from “virtual photographer” plugins for photoshop to ‘age’ the
    photo.

Very cool plane. I like the idea of them painting the new plane in the old colours.
Nice to see them side by side and the aging you’ve applied probably suits.

Did you get anymore of the Iolar ?

Thanks Mark. Didn’t take too many of the Iolar because people were queueing up
to take a look inside it for most of the day so it wasn’t the best chance to
    take photos of it.
I have some other photos of it that I’ve taken in the past.

Any chance of posting the colour version? Nice image…

    Sure Rob.
It would have been something along the lines of the image below
with a bit more processing to be done on it but you’ll get the idea.
    Thanks,
    Martin.

Nice shot, personally I think the b&w looks better, it has more atmosphere to it.

Thanks for posting the colour version, and I can see now why you opted
for the monochrome. The light looks like it was fairly flat for the day…
