Great set Noely. Always great birds to watch while hunting.

Ooh lovely! Such a treat to see any BoP but Kestrels are one of my
    favourite. Great shots, well done.

Aah Noel! These are far too good to be posting. Think of the rest of us trying to compete. How did you manage these??? :D

Thanks people, to be honest all factors came together at the right moment. The Kestrels that hunt on Bull Island are very tolerant of people. This one hunts along the grass verges of the roadway leading to the Bull. I saw him working his way towards me so I found a spot amongst some scrub,
hunkered down and waited. He was about 20-30 feet away and roughly the same distance above. The light wasn’t the best and the wind was fierce
but a bit of RAW work sorted that out.Out of maybe 40 shots, 10 are usable :D

These are superb Noely, fantastically sharp and colourful. Mind me asking what
    glass you were using?

Always the Bigma Rob, on the d200. Once you know the Bigmas quirks it’s a very usable lens

You must get some strange looks from people with that beast protruding from
your camera. Then of course you get to see them before they see you, gives you
    a chance to run away…

I get strange looks anyway, with or without the camera :D Could be my classic Coco Chanel little black dress..or maybe the sombrero, it’s just jealousy anyway!
