Myself and Mark took a little trip inside the walls of the Magdalene Laundries up Sundays Well on Saturday.
Here’s a few of the pickies, crazy weird place, underground pitch black passageways, (looking fowards to seeing that video clip mate :))
Dodgy staircase, dark rooms with boarded up windows and high ISO being the order of the day.
Ive more on my FB page http://www.facebook.com/AJ.Photography.Cork” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;. Ive more to process that I’ll get to eventually.Looking Fwd to seeing your photos Mark and your first through the tunnel next time
PS couldnt resist overcooking the HDR
Al.

I really liked viewing these.
I think the processing suits the subject very well.
They convey quite an impression of the place and you visit
was very productive.Might I suggest numbering the images.
This not only makes it simpler to comment on individual photographs but
enables subsequent viewers to know which images comments refer to.Very well done.
John.
shutterbugParticipantLooks like an interesting place, and a very strong set of images, I like the
processing also, as John suggests it suits the theme. I think the last one
is my pick. Well done.jungleParticipantThanks lads,
I hate not getting any feedback and I love good feedback :)
I numbered the photos too.
Cheers
Al.MarkKeymasterI didn’t notice the HDR Al ;). Actually it does suit them in fairness.
You have some shots there I wish I got too in particular 1 and 5.Am still processing mine and will post up shortly. I’ll send you on the vid also

I’d gladly trade those for the shot you got with the light on the side of the chair, I’m looking fwd to see that one processed. Kicking myself for not checking that angle.
If your able to, just post a link to the tunnel vid on my FB page  it’ll save me the trouble (lazy boy)
You’ll be a overcooked HDR convert yet
jungleParticipantI wouldn’t normally post this many shots from a single shoot but just think this place deserves a bit of a showcase.

I missed that great table in #13…I should have mine up tomorrow, still not sure whether I prefer some of mine in b+w or colour :)

The table was in the big room beside the first kitchen we went into, I couldn’t even see the table without the torch light on it, I took that one when you were setting up your medium format in the dark (now that’s hardcore).
That’s the great thing about two photographers shooting the same thing. We’re bound to have different takes on the same subject. Looking foward to seeing how you’ve worked them. If I hadn’t done the hdr thing, I’d have gone B&W.
Laters mate
Al.RobMemberGood to see these Al. Even the vibrant colours can’t take away the
inherent bleakness conveyed…jungleParticipant
