Maybe too much foreground but I like the way the shower is captured, very nice. Hope it wasn’t coming straight at yourself :D

A square crop would maybe work on this one, great sky, nice tones in the
    rocks too.

I agree, a square crop would emphasise the rain more. Nice capture though, very nice :)

    Hi,

Id given up on this one, which surprised me a bit tbh as I really like it myself! Never quite sure how to take no comments on a photo…. I assume its means its “alright” – not worth a “like it” or a “it doesnt work”!

I have to say I agree with the square suggestion. If there had been a big red crab or a seal pub in the foreground, it would be a different story.

I think its worth the effort as I like the scene and the drama of the shower. One think that bugs me a tad is the way the centre rock just breaks the horizon, I didnt notice at the time and would prefer to have it below – ah well….. next time.

It was moving left to right and missed me entirley. As the tide was so low, it exposed caves that are normally out of reach. Right behind this was a walk in naural shelter – although not a place to be standing with an incoming tide.

Thanks for your comments, and a especially Vee for dragging it up to the sharp end of the forum!

Now…..see I didnt notice the pointy rock above the horizon until
    you mentioned it

nor did I but it wouldnt bother me either. I agree with the above comments bout the foreground too and I wonder about the exposure in the sky the whites on the left look blown on my screen perhaps a nd grad would rescue this. Nice scene though and a lovely colour pallete.

Good advice above. Square crop to ditch most of the foreground.

Of course you were all right, more balanced with the square crop…. but if there was a seal pup, it would have been a different story – Ill bring one with me next time:)

Yes the sky is burnt out on the right, but nothing will fix it Im afraid…..although I will have another look at the series for a better starting point.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Oh, excuse the watermark. Messing with Lightroom and feeling my way around!

Nice picture, though I’m not sure about so much foreground. Might be
an improvement to crop to two thirds sky and one third foreground…

Agree with the other comments, but really nice shot. I love capturing rain clouds myself!
