Hey guys first post :) … After looking at so many amazing Macro photography pictures over the last few months,
last weekend i decided to purchase my first macro lens. I picked up the Sigma 50mm f2.8 macro for my Canon 1000d.

Im loving the challenge so far, its frustrating for sure but when the results come its all worth it. I have took hundreds
of shots already but these two pics are my favourite so far. My objective with these pics, was to have a clean clutter
free backround and to get as much of the subject in focus as possible. Im happy with the results and hope ye guys can
direct me on what i could or should have done better. These shots were handheld and some post proccessing in Adobe
Camera Raw as the white balance was terrible. Thanks for looking….

Very impressive for a first effort! I find macro the most difficult form of photography that I’ve tried, but then it’s all the more rewarding when you nail it.

Yes its very difficult for sure,, there is soo little room for error but i enjoy it immensly over other forms of photography that i have tried.
Taking those pics and seeing the results gave me a buzz,, and the will to get out there and shoot more,, read more,, ask more ? and so on
