    Well I think it is a blackbird… It had a deathwish. I rescued it from my cats jaws twice and then every day for 5 days it kept finding its way into my garden again. it must have been sick as it had died by the next day…

    Thanks Photoman. It was a shame, but shows how tough these little guys have to be I guess. I have recropped and softened the edit. I think this one is better

    Ahh poor little dude, baby birds have such a battle to survive dont they? It is
    a lovely photo though Connie, he looks very young still has the little tufty feathers
    on his head.

    Looks like a blackbird alright, could be wrong though, shame about his fate but a great image all the same.

    the 2nd one it’s better: better framing, sharper details.
    as for the bird, what can i say? it’s called life and sometimes is a bitch
