    I think 1 & 3 are great.

Love to know the lighting setup

I used my 50mm 1.4 on my 5D MK II – f/8, ISO 100. Canon 580 EX II full power or half throughout the shoot on a stand just right of the camera :)

    Thanks a mil for looking,
    Susie :)

    1. would have been nice to have seen there faces, exposure wise background could be brighter and flash turned down, e.g shutter 1/30′ F 5.6 flash 1/8 power, but i would need to be there to get the exposure. just a idea if cropped out the top and made a letter box crop at the bottom

    2. nicely exposed but crop out the top

    3. crop out the right

    4. flash in the face

nicely done, only starting using strobes myself at the mo, best of luck with it and look forward to seeing more.

    Again, thanks Phillip…
have just been doing a bit of experiementing with the flash myself of late..

    Appreciate your feedback..
    1) Exposure wise, it was quite dark at this stage & the dark background was what I wanted – just to give a hint of location….I have a few more like this where you can see there faces but just thought this one had a more natural feel to it, it showed more of their love/personalities :)

    2) I thought about cropping out the top but wanted to leave a little of the sky but on second thoughts, you could be right :) Thanks again!!

    3) The crop would probably work here too….

    4) Again, you’re probably right… was hard to keep moving the flash around as the couple moved. But I do like this pose though..

    Thanks for all your comments/advice!

really like 2 and 4…… with 2 i would definitely crop some off the top though and with 4 the flash could have done with a little less power.
none the less 2 really great shots
