    No, I’m not selling it.
I’m putting this here in the hope that you guys, who are looking for new stuff, might come across thi stuff that was stolen from a friend of mine recently. Here’s the list of gear:

    Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
    Canon Speedlite 550EX E-TTL Flash
Canon Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX Speedlite Flash
    Canon 30D Camera Body – SN 1620900687
    Canon ST-E2 Speedlite Transmitter

    Thanks guys!

Sorry to hear your equipment was stolen. The same happened to me: I was mugged in Dublin.

Availing of this space mehfesto opened, here are the serial numbers of my stolen stuff

    Sony alpha 330 with 18-55 F3.5-5.6 SAM

    Serial numbers:
    P-84366196-P
    S01-4986144-M
    4905524520460

(mehfesto, let me know if you mind me posting my equipment data here and I’ll remove it. Good luck!)

Very sorry to hear about both of your unfortunate experiences.

A number of posts on this site have reported camera gear being stolen.

However is there anything which could be learnt for those whose gear has not been stolen?

i.e. what lessons learnt is there to be had / shared? Was the gear stolen from a car, house, time of day, type of mugger, number of muggers was there a particular technique used by the mugger / robber etc.

In other words what lessons can be shared to those of us whose gear has not yet been stolen?

I have often thought of going out taking night photography in Dublin, however I now suspect it might not be the safest thing to do now, especially when one is on their own.

Any tips / advice would be welcome.
