Behinner to the site.. school portraits..

  Hey everyone. This site is a great idea, I can really see this helping me!
  so anyway to get me started.. I have just finished college, I done a three year degree in photography.

  I have done over the past few years portrait jobs, (children, communions ets) but recently been asked by a local school to do portraits of the children.. I am just wonder, as its my first school to photograph, for any advice at all from you all. From the information on the letter that would go home to the parents – to – would you get the money even before you take the children’s photographs..

  Some thoughts, may not suit your situation….

  Cash on delivery, this means deliver to school who then distribute to parents who then decide whether or not to buy
  10% to someone from school, eg secretary, to handle lost pictures, order changes etc. They will earn it!
  Website
  Maybe access to pictures online after payment has been received
  Garda vetting
  An assistant, so no-one is alone with a child.
  Demo pics
  References from satisfied customers
  Prices for various packages
  Handout to parents, get this proof-read as schools are picky about grammatical errors
  Option of siblings posed together or separately
  Invite pre-schoolers to the shoot
  Choice of backgrounds
