Colour Print Film

It’s been years since I’ve shot shot colour print film and I thought that I might give it a try again. So I’m wondering what would people recommend using for landscape and general photography in 35m & 120mm sizes?
Cheers
Vincent
PS Where do people get it processed?MartinParticipantDon’t shoot much colour but when I do I have been using Fuji Reala 100 for landscapes.
Another super film for landscapes is Kodak Ektar 100.For portrait type stuff I have been using Fuji 160s, Another similar film is Kodak Portra 160/400
I get mine processed in Gunns. They dont push or pull so expose it at box speed…
Peter shoots a good bit of colour print film and prints it himself, he would be best to listen to possibly…
Have fun
MthefizzParticipantHi Vincent, most of my colour work the last few years has been portraiture where I’ve mostly used the old kodak portra films (NC & VC). I have yet to try the new single version of porta but the reviews I’ve read have been positive. For the odd landscape shot I use Fuji Reala. Another newish film I have yet to make prints from is kodak ektar which is supposed to be very saturated for a neg film, kinda looks more like a transparency film. Everyone has different tastes so you should try a few to see what you like. I get mine developed in Gunns but will probably start doing it myself soon to keep costs down.
texMemberThanks Martin & Peter, I think you’re right to try out a few and see which one I like best. So I’ll probably buy a few rolls of Reala 100 & Ektar 100 and see how I get on with them.
Thanks for your advice and I ‘ll let you know how I get on.Cheers

Both those colour films are great, I use Kodak ektar a lot but I do tend to use it a lot at 80iso and it doesn’t overexpose at all, if you’re starting back in 35mm the fuji shop at the top of Newbridge is great, the last time I was in there there machine was broken so it was being sent to Fuji in Naas, delayed it by a day, I don’t think it cost more than a fiver for dev and cd, if you head in look for Roisin and tell her I sent you, Gunns or Conns will do the 120, think it’s about €17 for dev and cd, a little more expensive.
