lovely photoshop skills mate but beams like that almost always come from blown/highlights in the sky . as it is represented it just doesnt sit right on the eye

cheers guys. John just thought i’d give it few beams to liven it up a bit. was thinking of cropping just below from were the beams start. Wud it work or is it back to the drawing board ? i like though :)

nice shot …not sure about those beams though..maybe if they were reduced by 50% or 60% . the crop you mention could very well work , give it a shot and stick it up :-)

    Sirvad,

The shot is very good but the difference in light / contrast
doesn’t look natural or real. The light beams in the sky and water
are perfect but just a hint on the rocks wud suffice – just my opinion
but that cud be a lot of work. Still a cool image.

Lovely shot, but like all those before me suggested, the beams just don’t look right.

Would like to see a version where they don’t extend beyond the rocks.
Allow them fall behind the rocks, as in reality you’d never see them as you’ve represented.

Maybe add some subtle lightening to the outer edge of the rocks to give a sence of placement, although they may not need it and you’ll determine this whilst adapting the rays. To a degree the rocks will naturally have a degree of silhouette against a brighter background. Stand back and see what looks natural…..!
