I’m out to upgrade from my current DSLR to a better, faster one. I’ve narrowed my choices down to the Canon EOS 1D Mk II and the Canon EOS 1D Mk II N. Both fit the bill for sports photography perfectly. One thing I have noticed is the price difference, with the N being, on average, £200/300 dearer than it’s predessor. I’m looking for the differences between the two cameras, because I’ve heard that there’s not too much of a difference, not enough to justify the price jump anyways.
Does anyone have prior experience of the above cameras, so they could tell me the differences between them?
The main difference is that the N has a larger screen on the back for viewing. If you are used to a big screen then it can take a bit of getting used to looking at the small screen on the MkII but other than that there isn’t much else of a difference apart from the price.
I actually have one for sale so if you wanted to have a look at it and test it out then that would be no problem. You can see my camera for sale here – canon-eos-1d-mkii-body-for-sale-t46456.html – Price is negotiable as well :)
