I took this a while back, but Iv only registered here tonight and felt the need to contribute something at least.
This was the Bandon weir last year. I had gone down just to get long exposures of the weir but I saw the salmon leaping and ended up spending an hour sitting on the bank to get this pic.
That’s a great shot, maybe you met Philip down at the weir, a fellow PI member from Bandon who has posted images of the weir previously. The heron is great but the salmon really makes the shot, great composition and worth the hour.
No I haven’t but I’d love to meet other photographers in the area.
Being honest, im living at the top of the hill from it and that was probably the only time iv brought my camera down there.
Generally I have more of a preference to salty water over fresh :)
