First shot from last week in Kerry
-
RodcunhaParticipant
It has been a while since I’ve posted or really done any photography, to cut a very long story short, somethings happened in my life where my priorities shifted, for a while I’ve lost the drive and to be honest I just don’t have the time anymore that I used to… but the passion is still here and here and there when I can I try to do a little bit, I haven’t uploaded anything really and both my website and pbase accounts have been shut down over the last couple of years since I wasn’t updating them I figured there was no need to have them, I kept however my flickr account, so for those of you who don’t know me here, you can see some of my earlier works in there and get a sense as to what I used to do.
These days I’m a bit rusty but I’m trying to get back in touch with my creative side, not only through photography but other areas and since we had a lovely (apart from the weather) holiday down in Kerry last week, I’ve decided to share with you some photos from there… since there’s not enough Kerry in these forums yet!! :pAnyways, this is the first one and probably the one I’m most pleased about, an easy composition and not much to add, the different colors and the cliched long exposure make this shot for me but I would love to hear what you guys and gals have to say about it as I’m a bit rusty on the old photographer side.
For the technically minded this was shot on my old Nikon D80 with a Sigma 10-20mm stopped down a good bit, can’t remember the apperture really but 20 something for sure, and used a Lee ND .6 and a Heliopan Circular Polarizer to get the long exposure.

seanyMemberVery nice also you’ve got some excellent shots on Flickr, hope you get time to do some more photography and I’m looking forward to more posts.
beasleyParticipantI love the color of the trees, this really is the nicest time of year. Is this the torc waterfall? Killarney is a stunning area.
I would like to see what it would be liked cropped a little just to take away some of the trees up the top and the pool in the bottom and putting more focus on the waterfall.
Lovely image as it stands though.

PixelleMemberI love the colours and the woolly water.
Maybe closer and from a lower angle?RodcunhaParticipantPixelle wrote:

Maybe closer and from a lower angle?I actually kinda tried to get lower… but almost ended up too low, like following the river low! The boots I had on didn’t really like the wet rocks at all, this shot was actually taken after falling in Torc Waterfal to the amusement of the Mrs. and all those present, my bottom was a bit sore but thankfully the camera was fine! :p
PixelleMembershutterbugParticipantWelcome back Rod, and a lovely composition to return with, hope you
