    Hi Jambomac

Well done for getting out there, the light on the day doesn’t looked as though it helped you, your set of images are not to bad, the only thing that if it were me that I would do is crop hard on some of the images, some have a little too much in them for my liking, the phoenix park deer are quite tame so your equipment is fine, why not try them again on a day with better light and try and single out a deer and go after it for a few head shots, try small groups as well, you’ll work out what you like and looks best then, all of this is my opinion only everyone will have their own take on this but well done on posting these images.

Thanks for the comments paul tried to get head shots but they kept walking away as i got closer.

To many runners chasing them wasn’t helping the situation.

I will hopefully invest in a bigger 100mm – 400mm l lens which will hopefully help me out.

I’ll keep going at it the dear aren’t leaving yet.

nice shots, as paulwh said maybe a bit of a crop. shame about the runners, disturbing them, ive been there a few times and if you have long enough time you can get quite close if you take your time. possible to get some interesting wide shots as opposed to the usual close ups. just a thought on processing theres seems to be a bit of a majenta cast on the images, only slightly. could be my screen. you could maybe reduce the majenta in colour balance.

Definitely going to have too work on my deer stalking technique, of course i think the males were still trying to
