Ho8 war tunnels without tripods

  Hi,
  Have only just found this site and was prompted to post by positron’s photos of the Ho8 Jersey war tunnels – I am originally from Jersey and it is one of my favourite places to visit. The last time I was there I wanted to take a decent photo of the most atmospheric part of the complex – an unfinished tunnel, built by slave labourers, many of whom died during construction. This was the first shot
  

  

  I didn’t use any fancy equipment – actually this was taken on my Canon powershot A95 – as you can see v. low light levels and dark tones – but I thought it was possible to get a better shot with a little more power to it. This was the next attempt:
  

  

  I zoomed in and turned off the flash. A lucky shot I admit :D

  Welcome to the site !.

  FYI, I edited your post to embed the photos, you had embedded just a link to the site where the photos were as opposed to the photos
  themselves. Have a read here and you’ll see how to do it.
