This location is just down the road and can produce some wonderful colourful sunsets.
Mostimes the foreground is choppy water but on this evening it was calm and the sky colour
was reflected in the foreground.
It is probably a bit cliched but I do like being out as the sun sets. Thanks for looking,
John.

sirvadMemberLovely shot John. Might be tempted to clean up a little, like some of the birds in distance dont really add to it. love the sky and you did well not to burn it out. keep an eye on cropping the boat reflection. well done on an overall great shot !
mwallParticipantSmashing shot John, great evening glow captured. I understand Sirvad’s comments re the birds in the distance but I don’t mind them as I think they add to the tranquility of what was obviously a very calm evening.
Great to have this on your doorstep,

Hi Sirvad,
Many thanks for your reply.
When the tide is out photos here can have some stuff that if cloned out would probably
improve the look of the final image.
I had thought about it.
At your suggestion I’ll try it when I have a little time and see what transpires.I held an ND grad over the lens to hold back the sky which helped with the sun.
Camera in one hand, filter in the other……not textbook…. :)The reflection is a little close to the edge allright.
Much appreciated comments.

MikeHi Mike,
I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Yes it can be lovely down there most evenings and the colour can range from
pastel purple to deep red.
Most effective when there is a calm (only a couple of times a year).Sirvad’s point is well made and worth considering.
Thanks for your reply.
