I can’t believe you haven’t received comments on this, you did an excellent job on capturing the sun here. The rays and the light on the water really make this a lovely image. Maybe the left side of the image could be brighter and that might give you a more balanced image overall.

A really nice sunrise shot, lovely colours and light and you have captured the sun brilliantly. As Dave said maybe the left side could be a tad brighter but by doing that you might take away from the overall mood of the photo. A lovely shot all the same.

really beautiful jenny … I would echo the issue of the left hand side
needing a bit of extra light…but that really is a small thing . excellent.Thanks for the comments guys really appreciate it. Maybe later on in the year
when the sun moves round a bit more the light will hit the rocks on the left
more, I will return in the summer (albeit a lot earlier) and check it out. Nice
location, though my legs haven’t been the same since I did all the steps down to
the beach and then up again!! :)Lovely shot alright Jenny and I feel bad that I’m such a lazy git for not getting up at this hour. Not working so I’ve no excuse really. The flare from the sun is just perfect as well – I can never get them that clean no matter how spotless my lenses are.
The one thing I’m not gone on though is the diagonal of the shoreline. Maybe it’s just me but it looks at odds with the rest of the composition.
Also, have I got it completely assways or will the sun not be rising further to the left / north as the summer goes on?Mark.

And you really should make the effort to get up early, there is nothing nicer than being on a deserted
beach watching the sun rise, it is such a beautiful time of the day. Thanks for the comments!Hi,
I think that is a lovely capture and would be perfect on a wide canvas in a bedroom.. I quite like that the rocks/headland on the left are a little bit darkened but to me that adds to what i think would be a Wake Up Feel to the picture.
Very nice and well done, the early hours paid off here.
