    Again from Annecy in France.

    1. Three images tone mapped to give detail in the shadows.

I wish they’d post the pension by wirepic, on Flickr

    2. Auto adjusted levels to give detail in the mist. Cropped.

    3. Just thought the jumble of roofs, the aerials and the colour of the tiles looked great.

Which aerial did you say? by wirepic, on Flickr

    Hi Fergus,

I like looking out over rooftops, especially if they are someplace interesting. (Like Paris)
They can make interesting photographs too.

These are quite nice but I think #2 steals the show for me.
I like the composition, the colour and textures of the roofs/chimneys and the trees in the background.

I can’t get the whole picture on my laptop screen but I might have considered a little less at the top.
Of course this might destroy the dimensions you wanted with the 3 almost equal sections of buildings, trees and sky.

A nice selection and thanks for sharing.

#1 for me, all the way

the depth in the scene is great from the solitary figure to the
    mountains in the distance.

well excecuted to retain sharpness through the scene and good timing . . . . . .
    by that man :-)

    Thanks again for the comments.

Alan, there were people walking along this path the whole time. I just had to wait until I could pick out one on his own. As I say, it’s a combination of 3 shots with focus and exposure was set for foreground or background in each.

John, I like #2 also. Just taken from the hotel bedroom window one morning. This all looked very misty but when I adjusted the levels the detail in the trees started to appear.

    Thanks again.
