My name is Jonathan from Limerick. I’ve been registered here for a while but haven’t quiet got around to introducing myself until now, you could say I’ve been a bit of a lurker. I have found the posts on this site to be very helpful in steering me towards taking a more serious leap into the art of photography. Up until last year I was the owner of a Canon EOS 30D for a few years which I mainly used to photograph rugby matches that I attended, however I had to sell it in order to free up fast cash for motor repairs. I didn’t realise how much I would miss it until it was gone. I am now back on a more stable footing and I am starting to buy equipment again, albeit film equipment to date, however getting a 30D back in my hands is on the cards. I am soon going to be enrolling with the Open College of the Arts in the hopes of developing myself via this art and gaining a degree. At the moment I am erring on the film side as a means to learn this craft in its raw form and it is going to be a long and interesting road for me and I look forward to contributing to this site as my experience grows.
Hi Jonathan, welcome to PI and thanks for a great intro :)
Glad to find that the site has been of use to you. Keep us posted on the OCA course and how you get on.
I know that a good few folk here have asked about it in the past. Even had a look at it myself once or twice :)
There are many members here using film also, myself included.
